Will.i.am Blasts "Disrespectful" Michael Jackson Album; Akon Defends Collaboration

Will.i.am is not a fan of the posthumous Michael Jackson album, Michael.
The forthcoming project is "disrespectful" to the King of Pop, who the the Black Eyed Peas frontman says would be rolling in his grave at its release.
His reasoning? MJ was such a perfectionist, he would never want fans to hear his songs without his approval. In will.i.am's mind, this is a low blow.

Akon sees Michael Jackson's legacy differently than will.i.am.
"Whoever put it out and is profiting off of it, I want to see how cold they are," he said. "To say that what (MJ) contributed during his life wasn't enough. He just wasn't any ordinary artist. He was a hands-on person. To me it's disrespectful."
"Michael Jackson songs are finished when Michael says they're finished."
Will.i.am, who recorded with Michael just before he died, says those tapes will never see the light of day, unlike "Hold My Hand," MJ's collaboration with Akon.
Their duet is the first single from Michael, and Akon disagrees with will.i.am, saying the upcoming record is actually keeping the King Of Pop's "legacy alive."
"I don't see anything disrespectful about it," he says. "These albums would have come out if he was alive or dead." What do you think? Is it good or bad?
